CAMPING WEEKEND AND STAR STRUCK

Hiya

Well we decided to take the kids on a camping trip to Shropshire.......

We arrived, pitched the tent, cooked on the BBQ, then froze to death... it was bloody freezing, it is June, unbelieveably it felt like the middle of winter.

I wasn't going to moan though, even the dog was shivering. After a night squished by a snoring hubby, 3 knackered kids and a dog that sounded like a freight train, I felt like I had been dragged through a hedge backwards and looked like it.

The day brightened up though and was pleasently warm. The first England Match was on in the onsite pub. Full of larger louts and lunatics, I avoided it like the plague. Sitting with my friend we noticed a rather dishy man walk past and enter his motorhome next to us. We both looked at each other and said "God I know him from somewhere". Then it dawned on us, he was off the telly.

Well we were pathetic, trying to think who he was. It took us ages, we worked out that he had had an affair with KIM TATE on Emmerdale, but do you think we could work out his name. By this point he knew that we knew he was famous.

We even tried to bribe one of the kids into asking him if he had been in Emmerdale. Then from nowhere this drunk couple decided to pose with him and have their picture taken. God we looked like 12 year olds...... anyway it was him and then we were trying to think what else he had been in. Sad or what, when the hubby's came back from watching the footy... they said he had been in the pub next to them......and they knew who he was.

Anyway, he must have thought we were a right bunch of Chav's, there was us in our tents and him in a gorgeous motorhome..... that's what you get for being famous I suppose.

That was the highlight of my weekend anyway, because it decided to pee down then on Sunday, so we had fish and chips in the rain and went home.

Now I am left with hoards of washing and a car that looks like a skip on wheels.... kids have gone to school thank God the dog is comatised and I look like I have been in the ring with Mike Tyson, due to the fact that I had hayfever all weekend too.

Nevermind, we had a laugh and this is all that matters really............ can't wait for the next time.

MADE IT (JUST)

Well thank the Lord for that, all back at school today. That sounds terrible, but I couldn't wait for the three horrors to go to school.

All I have heard for a week is "I am bored", "it is so boring here", "there is nothing to do". I have through a few packets of paracetamol with the headaches they have caused me and don't mention the money they seem to think I grow on a tree.

And as usual they come home on the first day back with yet more money to pay out. I will be glad when they break up for the summer holidays and get the hell out of here!!

God, I am moaning again. I am counting the days now. I have tweeted like mad this week about my website at www.creativestores.co.uk. I am tweeted out. It is good for traffic though, so cannot complain.

I have been making some fab art for our bare walls at home and offered the limited edition prints for sale.

My Dad started his Chemo today too, so I have not been sleeping too good, thinking about that. He is fine though, and I am glad that they have finally started to do something for him.

To cheer me up, my husband is taking us camping on Friday, bit of fresh air and change of scenery will work wonders.

Right, got to get 3 uniforms ready for school tomorrow and get some shut eye!!

BUSY WEEK... GOD HELP ME NEXT WEEK!

Hi everyone

Sorry, have been so busy this week with marketing my website and making new things and keeping up with three lunatic kids......

Half term = nightmare, but I am going to think positive this time. Hopefully this sunshine should last and they will be outside most of the time.

If you have any fun FREE ideas that you do with your kids, just let me know. Everything costs a fortune to do in this country with three kids and they all want to do different things.

I think we might need to go on some bike rides.... that will be a laugh.... might order some oxygen tanks first (for me). Gotta get fit though for my summer holiday, cause at the moment I resemble a large white whale..... just need the motivation. I think I might hunt out a picture of me when I was skinny (pre-child bearing days) and stick it on the fridge.... great idea.... right going to hunt through the photo albums.

Hope you all have a fun weekend.

SUMMER DIET HERE WE COME

Wow am I glad it is Monday. These kids have drove me nuts this weekend, I keep blaming the sunshine, but I think that is my excuse, they are just horrible.

My twins are at eachother's throats most of the time. The house looked like someone had burgled it this morning..... washing everywhere..... walked in grass..... millions of ants.... which I am going to committ mass murder on today.

Oh well, as usual the hot weather is not going to last. I have just booked another craft fair for July to get some pennies for my long awaited holiday to Spain. This year we are going for the summer, but without hubby for a couple of weeks, he has too much to do here. Shame, but somebody has to entertain the kids.... ha ha......

The diet must begin today... I look like a beached whale and the thought of exposing myself in a swimming costume just makes me feel sick. I have got to loose 2 stone is 9 weeks, can it be done.... too right it can. Just going to look for a good diet online now and off down the shops.

My diet plan and lost weight will be monitored on here, so cheating for me.

God I am going to be moody doing this.

THE THINGS THEY SAY!!

My son informed me today that he would like to be adopted by another family... you may ask why?? Well I only said that he should stay in a few evenings next week and get on with his project for school. You would have thought I had asked him to have his leg amputated..... talk about freak out........

I told him I would be happy to pack his bags for him but only the actual things he has paid for..... this would be very little.

He decided he didn't want to be adopted at this point. Yes son, you know where your bread is buttered, I said.

I think this unexpected heatwave affects kids moods.... they are unbeliveably moody at the best of times... but this makes it much worse. Let's see what tomorrow brings. Night x

TIME TO DE-FUZZ....BEST PRODUCTS PLEASE..

OMG with all this gorgeous weather we are having it seems it's time to get the razors out.... well hedge trimmers in my case. My legs have not seen sunlight since last August so they look like oak trees..... only joking they are not that bad.

If anyone has a great product for removing these horrible leg hairs let me know. I have tried loads of things in the past and waxing is just not for me.... I am a complete wuss when it comes to pain. The trouble is that leads to other maintenance....like toe nails and chapped heels... Christ this sounds so exhausting.

Would do anything for a pedicure.... but I don't think anyone in their right mind would want to touch my disgusting feet. They are such ugly things really when you look at them.

Time to go and buy some open toed shoes..... best get the paint out first though.

Have a fun afternoon. Laurie x

OMG I DON'T BELIEVE IT

I have Jeremy Kyle on in the background as I am working.... well unbeliveable, these people are nuts.... I do believe I am totally sane after watching these freaks.

Why would you want the world to know about your mother taking drugs, your boyfriend sleeping with your mother, whose baby is it?? Jesus, get a life..... I cannot believe that the TV Channel actually pay for this tripe to be on out TV's and pay Jeremy Kyle for shouting at them all. We could all do his job, if given half the chance.

They get DNA tests for FREE, lie detectors, counselling and God only knows what else, I wonder who is paying for all that.

Do these people not know that they are just exposing and embarrassing themselves in front on millions of people. Surely we could put something better on in the mornings. Come on Eamon and Ruth at least they talk some sense, not that I watch telly all day.... it's just on in the background.

Enough ranting and back to work. Laurie x
